With the proliferation of home computers, many of you are now creating your own letterheads and envelopes, even business cards. That's just to keep us printers working harder!

More and more, we receive calls from clients who are having problems with their laser or inkjet printers.  One client's letters literally fall off the page. Frequently, we see "offset" (printing that ghosts over from a fold).

My attorney writes me letters which make my teeth hurt — not because it's an attorney, but because there is an obvious problem with her laser jet and the paper used. When queried, she said, "Oh, I don't know what kind of paper it is — I get it at Sam's!"

Be aware that you need to use paper that is rated for your inkjet and your laser printer. Likewise, if you are ordering stationery from a printer which you expect to use on a laser or inkjet, you should specify that you need laser-safe ink and paper!

Here at Word Catering, we assume that anyone with a letterhead and envelope will inevitably use them in a laser or inkjet printer, so we use the proper ink and paper. That's going to cost you a little bit more, but it's part of the full-service printing our clients need and expect.
